Description
Hillsborough County Capital Programs Department is seeking multiple qualified professional firms for continuing professional services involving subsurface investigation and testing. The scope includes geotechnical investigations; field and laboratory testing of soils, aggregates, concrete, asphalt, masonry, pipe backfill, road bases, and related materials; construction inspection; materials engineering; roofing and waterproofing assessments; environmental sampling; and special inspections. Additional services may include asbestos consulting and sampling, lead and asbestos testing, groundwater and soil contamination analysis, foundation and pile testing, weld examinations, pavement and road-base coring, infiltration and percolation testing, and preparation of signed and sealed reports, evaluations, recommendations, and technical specifications. The consultant must be a Florida-licensed engineering firm and an FDOT-qualified laboratory, comply with applicable FDOT, ASTM, and AASHTO requirements, provide qualified personnel and equipment, respond rapidly to County requests, and obtain County approval for substitutions or subcontracting. The solicitation anticipates multiple four-year continuing contracts and work orders generally limited to $500,000 per study activity or applicable statutory project limits.
