Description
Hillsborough County is seeking an experienced contractor to provide periodic transportation, removal, recycling, processing, and final disposal of waste tires from three county facilities. The scope includes passenger, light-truck, large-truck, commercial, off-the-road, rubberized-track, and some rimmed tires. The contractor must provide or coordinate suitable transport vehicles and equipment, cover loads during transit, maintain removal and disposition records, and ensure final disposition at a Florida Department of Environmental Protection-approved facility or otherwise in accordance with applicable regulations. Services will be requested approximately monthly, with a minimum stockpile of 18 tons for scheduled service. Contractor transportation must generally occur within two business days of a request, with advance arrival notification. The contract term is three years, compensation is based on tonnage, and the estimated project value is $1,635,000. Insurance coverage is required, including commercial general liability, automobile liability, workers’ compensation and employers’ liability, professional liability, cyber liability, pollution liability, and other coverages identified in the insurance requirements attachment. The solicitation requires electronic submission through Euna Procurement and includes required bid-table and bidder-requirements questionnaire response templates.
