Description
The U.S. Geological Survey is seeking whole-genome sequencing services for 400 bison samples, primarily tail hair with additional FTA blood-card and tissue samples. The contractor must receive and track samples, perform DNA extraction and quality control, prepare sequencing libraries, conduct paired-end 2x150 base-pair whole-genome sequencing at a minimum average 20x coverage per individual, deliver demultiplexed FASTQ files with quality-control information, and return all unused sample material using appropriate shipping conditions. The quotation must address technical capabilities, including processing capacity and planned DNA extraction, library-preparation, and sequencing methods; provide at least three references for similar completed service contracts within the past five years; and include separate technical and pricing proposals. The requirement is a firm-fixed-price purchase order with a one-year performance period.
