Description
The Colorado State Forest Service requires enhancements and updates to the Colorado Wildfire Risk Assessment as part of a three-year update cycle. The project will incorporate key 2026–2027 input datasets and methods developed since the 2022 assessment, including updated fuels, fire behavior, risk, values-at-risk, and treated-landscape analyses. The contractor will deliver static risk products, intermediate and source datasets, analytical methods and documentation, and related reports and data products for agency and public use. Dynamic or SaaS offerings may be proposed but must fit within the same project budget as a static assessment for the full three-year funding cycle. The contractor will participate in weekly project meetings and collaborate with a separate fuels update team that meets on an ad hoc basis, generally biweekly to monthly while fuels work is underway. State funding will be provided through House Bill 09-119, the Healthy Forests and Vibrant Communities Act.
