Description
The U.S. Department of Agriculture's Agricultural Research Service is seeking a contractor to perform annual inspections at eight research, administrative, and field facilities in Colorado and Wyoming. Required work includes portable fire extinguisher inspections; fire sprinkler, fire alarm, and backflow prevention device inspections where applicable; inspection tagging; written reports; testing documentation; deficiency listings; recommended corrective actions; and Compliance Engine submissions for applicable facilities. Inspections must comply with NFPA 10, NFPA 25, NFPA 72, and applicable local and state regulations. The contractor must provide qualified personnel and equipment, follow USDA access, security, and safety procedures, and perform only minor onsite repairs when pre-authorized. Major repairs, system redesign, and certain specialized or unsafe work are excluded. The procurement is a total small-business set-aside for a firm-fixed-price contract with one base year and four one-year option periods, for a maximum five-year duration.
