Description
The City of Fort Collins, through Transfort, seeks a contractor for construction improvements at 13 bus stops on Colorado State University property and associated public rights-of-way. Base work includes clearing and earthwork, demolition and removal of existing sidewalks, asphalt, curbs, gutters, pavement markings, benches, and bicycle racks; construction of concrete sidewalks, shelter pads, curb walls, curb ramps, gutters, channels, detectable warnings, pedestrian railing, bollards, signposts, and pavement markings; construction surveying; mobilization; traffic control; erosion and sediment control; landscape restoration; and irrigation system repairs or modifications to pre-construction conditions. The solicitation includes three bid alternates: installation of city-furnished bus stop shelters and benches, additional Foothills Campus quantities, and improvements at the Equine Center stop. The project is federally funded and requires Davis-Bacon wages and reporting, Buy America and Build America, Buy America certifications, federal transit clauses, and other required federal compliance documentation. Substantial completion is required by December 31, 2026, excluding shelter and bench installation; if the shelter and bench alternate is awarded, final completion is required within 28 days after delivery of those items, anticipated in February 2027.
