Description
Colorado State University is soliciting bids from qualified general contractors to provide materials and full construction contracting services for connecting the Infectious Disease Research Center Phase III to the Foothills Chilled Water Utility, replacing outdated stand-alone chillers. The work includes chilled-water piping, hydronic pumps, heat exchangers, water treatment, glycol systems, mechanical insulation, instrumentation and controls, electrical work, testing, balancing, commissioning, and related construction activities. Bid Option #1 covers demolition of the existing air-cooled chillers and process cooling tower. The estimated project cost is $614,000, and the awarded contractor must comply with Colorado prevailing-wage requirements, Buy Clean Colorado requirements, and applicable Colorado labor requirements. The solicitation is a rebid because prior bids exceeded the budget, and the design was modified accordingly.
