Description
The Town of Johnstown is soliciting a contractor for reconstruction of the West Parish Alley between South 1st Street and Charlotte Street. The scope includes demolition and removals; concrete and hot-mix asphalt pavement; 80-millimeter interlocking concrete pavers; curb ramps, sidewalks, curb and gutter, detectable warnings, pavement markings, and traffic control; gateway features, branding stones, pipe bollards, planters, fencing, and gates; landscaping, imported topsoil, soil amendments, shrubs, perennials, ornamental grasses, cobble mulch, and planting irrigation; electrical wiring, conduit, lighting fixtures, lighting controls, and erosion-control measures. The contractor must provide a sealed hard-copy bid package, including the required bid forms and bid guarantee, and must demonstrate comparable experience. The proposal must include at least two similar government projects completed within the last five years, each valued at a minimum of $1,500,000 and performed principally with the contractor’s own forces. The project must be substantially complete by December 3, 2027. A 5 percent bid bond is required; the successful contractor must provide performance and payment bonds, each equal to the contract price, after award.
