Description
The Town of Wellington is soliciting a general contractor for construction of a new approximately 2,600-square-foot, single-story building at its water treatment plant. The building will include a water sampling and testing laboratory, laboratory support areas, administrative offices, conference/training space, mechanical and electrical rooms, restrooms, laboratory casework, plumbing fixtures, HVAC systems, electrical distribution and lighting, and related site improvements. The work includes demolition and utility connections, grading, foundations, structural steel and cold-formed framing, roofing, insulated metal wall panels, interior finishes, laboratory furnishings/casework, plumbing, mechanical systems, electrical systems, concrete paving, and an add-alternate for approximately 1,590 square feet of concrete paving. Construction must maintain continuous operation of the existing plant's sampling and monitoring services, coordinate sample-line relocation, and preserve access for chemical-delivery trucks. A standalone qualifications document of no more than 11 pages is required, addressing comparable projects, work at active treatment plants or similar facilities, safety and compliance history, and the proposed approach and schedule.
