Description
The County seeks a qualified firm to develop and validate a quantitative method for alcohol, methanol, ethanol, isopropanol, and acetone in blood, urine, and vitreous samples using gas chromatography with flame ionization and mass spectrometry detection. The work includes validation data using two analytical columns, a dilution study, a validation report, a standard operating procedure, and a daily run checklist, in accordance with applicable California Title 17 requirements and forensic toxicology standards. The scope also includes reviewing and discussing validation results and providing one day of training on method implementation, workflow, data interpretation, and reporting. The County will provide laboratory access, two GC-FID/MS systems, reagents, and materials. Proposals must include a technical proposal, pricing, experience and reference information, required statements and acknowledgments, applicable licenses and permits, and insurance documentation. The total proposed price may not exceed $26,000; work must be completed by September 30, 2027.
