Description
The North Kingstown School Department is soliciting proposals for third-party quality assurance, construction inspection, and materials testing services for the new Wickford Middle School, an approximately 76,173-square-foot, three-story facility for grades 6–8. The scope includes geotechnical and soil testing, concrete and masonry inspection and testing, structural and reinforcing steel inspection, nondestructive examination, spray fireproofing and firestopping inspection, building-envelope testing, bituminous asphalt testing, and related quality assurance/quality control consulting. The solicitation requests firm quotations using hourly, daily, per-test, per-trip, and other unit rates for the listed services. Required qualifications include appropriately certified or licensed inspection and testing personnel, including professional engineers, geotechnical engineers, ACI-certified technicians, AWS-certified welding inspectors, ICC-certified fireproofing inspectors, and other discipline-specific personnel as applicable. The selected contractor must be able to begin immediately after award and support the project through the anticipated building and site completion periods.
