Description
Alameda County Behavioral Health Department is seeking one qualified provider to deliver comprehensive medical care services for justice-involved youth at Juvenile Hall in San Leandro and Camp Wilmont Sweeney. The scope includes intake health screenings, nursing assessments, health appraisals, primary and urgent care, substance-use treatment and medication-assisted treatment, medication management, dental and vision services, mental health coordination, infection control, medical clearance, on-call coverage, discharge planning, specialty and hospital-care coordination, transportation coordination, and continuity-of-care referrals. Services must be available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, for an estimated daily population of approximately 50-65 youth at Juvenile Hall and 10-15 youth at Camp Sweeney. The provider must supply qualified licensed staff, including nursing, physician or advanced-practice, dental, pharmacy, administrative, and support personnel, and must coordinate with County behavioral health, probation, public health, education, and other care providers. The solicitation requires at least three years of recent experience providing comprehensive medical services to youth and at least three years of substance-use services including medication-assisted treatment. The County has allocated $8,815,323 per contract year for the ongoing program. Proposals are limited to 18 pages excluding exhibits and attachments and must include a single PDF proposal and a completed Excel Budget Worksheet.
