Description
The City seeks a consultant to provide special inspections and related progress inspections for an elevator modernization project. Required inspection areas include mechanical systems, fire-resistant penetrations and joints, post-installed anchors, energy-code compliance, interior lighting power, lighting controls, and final inspection. The consultant must provide qualified personnel, inspection reports, and any required laboratory testing services. The scope also includes inspection of the construction work associated with replacing freight elevator equipment and related architectural, mechanical, electrical, and asbestos-abatement work. The response must be completed using the provided RFI Response Form and submitted as a single PDF. The form requests a staffing plan and key-personnel information, resumes and licenses, firm experience and past-performance examples, proof of Department of Buildings registration and agency accreditation, laboratory qualifications and experience, a proposed approach, unit prices, staffing expenses, and a fee proposal. The total proposed amount must not exceed $85,000. The memo identifies an anticipated construction period of 480 consecutive calendar days.
