Description
The San Luis Obispo Regional Transit Authority is seeking a contractor to provide rental, laundering, repair, replacement, and delivery of uniforms, coveralls, shop rags, shop towels, floor mats, lockers, and related laundry items for maintenance mechanics and utility workers. Services include daily uniform changes, laundering and pressing, delivery, repairs, and replacement or upgrading of items as needed. The scope covers three facilities: the Bus Maintenance Facility, South County Transit, and Paso Yard. The RTA requires Arc Flash-rated 40 cal/cm² personal protective equipment uniforms for nine employees. Reusable masks are not required, and Amendment 1 removed them from the cost proposal. The RTA intends to award one fixed-price contract for a three-year base term beginning January 1, 2027, with two optional one-year extensions. Proposers must complete the amended Appendix C cost proposal, including weekly, monthly, annual, startup, special-fee, replacement, and optional-fabric pricing as applicable. The contractor must maintain required insurance and comply with Federal Transit Administration procurement requirements.
