Description
Ventura County is conducting a Request for Information to gather information from attorneys, law firms, nonprofit legal services organizations, bar association panel administrators, and other qualified organizations regarding indigent legal services. The County is particularly interested in conflict and alternate counsel, administration of assigned counsel panels, and representation for adult criminal, juvenile, mental health, competency, and civil commitment matters. Responses should address service delivery models, organizational capacity, professional standards, technology, and cost structures. The RFI is informational only and does not constitute a purchasing action, commitment to issue a future solicitation, or promise of an award. Respondents may provide supplemental materials such as annual reports, performance reports, white papers, sample agreements, and descriptive materials. Estimated annual expenditures for conflict and court-appointed counsel, including ancillary defense costs, are approximately $2,000,000 to $5,000,000.
