The Department of California Highway Patrol (CHP) is soliciting bids for the installation of a security camera and closed-circuit television (CCTV) system at its Santa Barbara Area Office located at 6465 Calle Real, Goleta, CA 93117-1597. The scope of work includes furnishing all supplies, materials, tools, equipment, labor, and supervision necessary to install the system. Specific equipment to be provided and installed includes AXIS brand cameras (models P4705, P3268-LV, Q9307-LV, P3268-LVE, P3727-P3737-PLE, and P4705-PLVE) or equal, CCTV viewing stations with 50-inch and 32-inch commercial grade LG monitors or equal, AXIS Power over Ethernet (PoE) switches or equal, and an AXIS Network Video Recorder (NVR) with video management software and DVD burner. The system must provide a minimum of 120 days of continuous recording at seven frames per second or higher. The contractor will also install new Category 6 cabling, terminate all communication cabling in a patch panel in the server room, and ensure all equipment is rack mountable and not connected to the CHP network computer system. The project requires a mandatory walk-through on September 10, 2026, and bidders must possess a valid California Contractor's State License Board (CSLB) C-7 (Low Voltage Systems) or C-10 (Electrical) license, be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR), and meet the 5% Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise (DVBE) participation requirement. The contract term is anticipated from December 1, 2026, through November 30, 2027, with a 2-year warranty on parts and labor and a 3-year full replacement warranty on monitors.
