Description
The Bureau of Reclamation is soliciting a firm-fixed-price construction contract to replace two existing 30-inch fixed-cone valves and associated equipment at Bradbury Dam. The work includes electrical inspection, design, demolition, installation, and testing; design and installation of valve or reducer supports; installation of two new 24-inch fixed-cone valves with hoods, 30-inch butterfly valves, reducers, actuators, conduits, conductors, grounding, and related controls; and removal of existing valves, spool pieces, supports, actuators, and associated electrical equipment. The contractor must also furnish, install, test, operate, and maintain a temporary bypass pumping system delivering an adjustable 9–11 cubic feet per second from Lake Cachuma to the Bradbury Dam spillway during the outlet-works outage. The updated statement of work requires the new fixed-cone valves to be capable of controlling water releases and requires facility inspection after valve removal before new equipment is installed. The procurement is a total small-business set-aside with an estimated value of $1 million to $5 million.
