Description
The Georgia Department of Juvenile Justice is seeking one or more qualified suppliers to provide comprehensive commercial linen and laundry services at statewide secure-facility locations. The supplier must furnish all labor, equipment, facilities, transportation, and materials for pickup, covered transport, commercial washing, drying, folding, pressing, sorting, packaging, and delivery. Services must address contaminated laundry, chain of custody, infection-control requirements, quality assurance, reporting, and replacement of Department-owned linen that is lost or damaged through supplier fault. Suppliers must be able to provide scheduled and as-needed service, with non-emergency requests fulfilled within 48 hours or as directed by the Department. The solicitation requires pricing for clothing, linen/bedding, and towels/washcloths on the provided cost worksheet, with all costs included. It requires at least three years of similar experience, including one year in Georgia, three comparable client references, compliance with facility security and background-check requirements, and written approval before using subcontractors. The initial contract runs from award through the end of the State's current fiscal year and includes four one-year renewal options at the State Entity's discretion.
