Description
The Defense Health Agency is soliciting a single firm-fixed-price contract for medical-grade bulk laundry and dry-cleaning services supporting Wilford Hall Ambulatory Surgical Center, Lackland clinics, the Holland Military Working Dogs Hospital, the Clinic Research Facility, and the JBSA Randolph Clinic. The scope includes bulk medical laundry processing, sorting, cleaning, drying, packaging, pickup, and delivery; microfiber laundry; special clinical items and lab coats; specialized stain washing; veterinary laundry kept separate from human clinical linens; and Randolph Clinic laundry services. Billing is based on clean laundry delivered, and pickup and delivery are required three times per week. The contract is for laundry processing only; the clinics retain ownership of their linens and garments. The contractor must provide all personnel, equipment, supplies, facilities, transportation, supervision, and related resources, while complying with CDC, OSHA, Healthcare Laundry Accreditation Council, infection-control, air-pressure, sanitation, and quality-control requirements. The Government may inspect the contractor’s facility, but no site visit is required. The Government will award a single firm-fixed-price contract using a best-value tradeoff between past performance and price. The opportunity is a competitive follow-on to BPA HT940823A0002, with potential future modifications to add services, increase linen volumes, or include additional clinics.
