Description
Adams County seeks a qualified laundry-service contractor for a 1,620-bed detention facility serving approximately 800–1,000 inmates. The contractor must provide a seven-day-per-week operation, including twice-weekly clothing exchange; laundering of bedding, linens, towels, blankets, shoes, inmate-worker uniforms, mop heads, and cleaning rags; work-release linen exchanges during evenings and weekends; and in-house mending of repairable clothing. Services are billed on a per-inmate-per-day basis. The contractor must provide an on-site Laundry Manager and sufficient staff, including relief and holiday coverage; develop staffing and operating schedules; supply detergents, chemicals, cleaning products, and related supplies; install and maintain product-dispensing equipment; maintain sanitation and records; and comply with facility security, background-clearance, training, safety, and communication requirements. Proposals must address organizational capability, personnel, approach, scheduling, security procedures, references, financial stability, and startup capability, and must include separate pricing and proposal submissions as specified.
