Description
Santa Barbara County Public Works is soliciting a lump-sum construction bid for parking and hardscape improvements on Clark Avenue from Broadway to Gray Street in the Fourth Supervisorial District. The work includes traffic control, clearing and grubbing, roadway excavation, aggregate base, hot-mix asphalt, tack coat, cold planing, stormwater pollution prevention, drainage improvements, sewer manhole adjustments, curb and gutter, sidewalks, curb ramps, detectable warning surfaces, stamped and colored concrete crosswalks, crosswalk banding, mortar-set brick pavers, benches, handrailing, roadside signs, thermoplastic traffic stripes and pavement markings. The scope also includes landscaping and irrigation, including street trees, shrubs, groundcover, sandstone boulders, soil amendments, automatic irrigation, mulch, and related planting work. The contractor must complete the project within 70 working days, comply with prevailing-wage and public-works registration requirements, and provide required quality-control, traffic-control, environmental, and construction submittals. The estimated project cost is $2,020,000. A Class A license, or an applicable combination of Class C licenses constituting a majority of the work, is required.
