Description
The County of Santa Barbara General Services Department is soliciting a Statement of Qualifications and a separate sealed Cost Proposal from certified qualified conveyance companies to provide design and construction-support services for modernizing the existing traction system, original mechanical equipment, and controls for the Judges Elevator at the Historic Santa Barbara Courthouse. The project prioritizes reuse of compatible existing components while meeting current safety codes and standards. The scope includes feasibility analysis, modernization design, preparation of bidding documents, and construction support. A mandatory job walk is required, and firms must register with the County Procurement Division before submitting a response. Proof of Department of Industrial Relations registration is required with the response.
