Description
The California Highway Patrol is soliciting bids for protective clothing and operational supply rental services for its Fleet Operations Section. The contractor must furnish, measure, alter, label, deliver, collect, clean, sanitize, repair, replace, and resize uniforms and related supplies, including shop jackets, shop coats, short- and long-sleeve uniform shirts, trousers, slip-resistant mats, shop towels, automotive rags, dust mops, Oxford work shirts, industrial work pants, and microfiber towels. Service is required once weekly during normal business hours, with pickup of soiled items and replacement with clean items. The scope also includes initial uniform setup, employee sizing, CHP logos and name tags, quarterly inventory inspections, and replacement of items damaged through contractor fault or normal wear at no additional cost. The award is intended for one responsive and responsible bidder offering the lowest evaluated cost. The agreement is anticipated to run from June 1, 2027, or upon approval, whichever is later, through June 30, 2030. Bidders must hold a valid local business license, demonstrate at least three consecutive years of relevant experience within the past five years, and submit three similar-service client references. The DVBE participation requirement is waived, although eligible DVBE participation may receive an incentive. Insurance proof is required before agreement execution rather than with the bid.
