Description
The U.S. Air Force is soliciting a contractor to perform one-time disassembly, removal, and disposal of an External Aircraft Fuel Tank Storage System at the 525th Aircraft Maintenance Unit. The system consists of a two-line carousel with 100 positions per line, manufactured by International Automated Systems. The contractor must provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials, transportation, and related resources; disassemble the carousel inside the building; remove the carousel and associated parts without facility modifications; coordinate disposal through Defense Logistics Agency disposition services; and repair any facility damage caused during performance. Personnel must be qualified to perform the required electrical and mechanical work and possess training and certifications consistent with the manufacturer's standards. The contractor is responsible for safety equipment, hazardous-material assessments and removal, applicable permits, environmental compliance, and maintaining a quality control program. A quality control plan is due after award, and a technician's name and telephone number must be submitted after contract start; these are post-award requirements rather than proposal-submission items.
