Description
The Municipality of Anchorage is soliciting bids for year-round road maintenance in the approximately 1.41-mile Lakehill Limited Road Service Area. Required services include snow clearing and ice ripping, sanding with winter aggregate, steam thawing, summer grading, shoulder and ditch maintenance, culvert cleaning, street sweeping, and related basic road maintenance. The contractor must provide qualified operators, laborers, and specified equipment, including a motor grader, front-end loader, dump truck, plow vehicle, laborers, steam boiler, water/flusher truck, vacuum sweeper, and aggregate-spreading equipment. The contract has a one-year performance period beginning September 1, 2026, or upon contract signature, with four additional one-year extension options by mutual consent. Bidders must submit the completed bid proposal and Appendix B bid breakdown, required safety data sheets, three comparable road-maintenance references, and veteran-status documentation if claiming the veteran preference. Insurance coverage, Alaska licensing, equipment availability, and applicable permits are required as specified.
