Description
The Municipality of Anchorage is soliciting a contractor to renovate the Bartlett High School pool. The work includes repairing pool hull cracks; removing and replacing the pool's epoxy finish; repainting wall targets, floor lane markings, 15-meter resurfacing markers, depth markers, and warning signs; replacing bulkhead panels and the bulkhead track system; and furnishing new PVC grating. The project also includes replacing filter laterals and media in two filter tanks, repairing filtration-system leaks and piping, installing a new heat exchanger and tank sight glasses, performing required testing and inspections, starting and calibrating the pool systems, and supplying startup chemicals for at least seven days. The contractor must have repainted at least three public-use pools within the past five years and must hold a valid Alaska contractor's license. The estimated construction cost is $100,001 to $500,000. All on-site work must start no earlier than May 17, 2027, and be completed no later than August 20, 2027; liquidated damages are $400 per day.
