Description
The City of Schertz is soliciting proposals for tree and brush removal at two separate work locations. Project 1 covers hazardous, invasive, nuisance, dead, leaning, unstable, and non-significant tree and brush removal in the Cibolo Creek corridor near Aviation Boulevard, including debris disposal, site cleanup, erosion control, and protection of utilities and adjacent property. Project 2 covers vegetation removal along the Union Pacific Railroad Glidden Subdivision between Mile Posts 191.5 and 193.2 near FM 78, subject to railroad access, safety, notification, right-of-entry, and insurance requirements. Vendors may bid on either or both projects, and the City may award the projects to one or more vendors. Each project must be completed within 45 days after the applicable notice to proceed or railroad approval to begin work. Proposals are evaluated on qualifications and reputation, proposed service quality, cost, and responsiveness. Required proposal materials include a complete proposal, Execution of Offer, Proposer's Statement of Qualifications, and independent cost proposals for each project. The Execution of Offer and signed addenda must be submitted as separate files. Railroad work requires, among other items, Railroad Protective Liability Insurance, commercial general liability, automobile liability, workers' compensation and employers' liability coverage, and compliance with Union Pacific Railroad requirements.
