Description
The City of Portage is soliciting long-term disaster debris removal services. The scope discussed in the supplemental responses includes immediate derecho recovery, primarily vegetative debris removal, grinding, hauling, and disposal, with construction-and-demolition debris pricing included for pre-positioned purposes. Proposals are evaluated using unit-rate pricing and other factors. Tipping fees are treated as pass-through costs, and bidders must provide a rate per crew for road-clearance work. The successful long-term contractor must register with the City of Portage Building Department under its “Disaster Recovery” contractor category. The supplemental responses also direct bidders to submit all referenced attachments by title, despite inconsistencies in attachment lettering.
