Description
The California Military Department is soliciting bids for the removal and replacement of two damaged hollow metal doors and three vision glass panels at the Ontario Armory. The work includes field verification, removal and disposal, installation of fire-rated metal doors and dual-glazed safety glazing, hardware inspection and replacement as needed, caulking, finish restoration, painting, cleanup, and compliance with applicable building, fire, accessibility, and installation-security requirements. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, permits, transportation, and related incidentals. The prime contractor must hold California B General Building Contractor, C-17 Glazing Contractor, and D-28 Doors, Gates and Activating Devices licenses, or subcontract appropriately for the C-17 and D-28 work. The project requires a mandatory pre-bid job walk, a five percent DVBE participation goal, and submission of a single PDF bid package containing the required certification forms, rate sheet, declarations, affidavits, and applicable bid bond. Work must be completed within 180 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed, with a one-year warranty after final acceptance.
