Description
Academy District 20 is soliciting proposals to furnish and install anti-shatter, forced-entry-resistant security window film on designated exterior and interior glazing at 33 campuses. The scope includes approximately 99,184 square feet and 94,372 linear feet of exterior windows, exterior doors, interior windows, and interior doors, with pricing submitted by material unit prices and labor costs. The proposed film must be multi-ply, optically clear, scratch-resistant, at least 12 mil thick, provide minimum 80% visible light transmission, achieve Forced Entry Class 2.0 under ASTM F1233, meet Category II human-impact safety glazing requirements, and satisfy specified flammability and performance standards. Proposers must provide product data, independent third-party testing for the exact proposed film/glass/attachment assembly, manufacturer and installer qualifications, warranty documentation, a plain-language warranty summary, and evidence of at least five comparable K-12 or institutional installations completed within the past five years. Installation must be coordinated during non-instructional periods, include an approved mock-up, and comply with site access, safety, background-check, and warranty requirements. The contract form states a one-year duration, and the solicitation requires 100% performance and payment bonds.
