Description
The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service requires removal and replacement of five damaged impact-resistant insulated laminated glass units at multiple buildings within Aransas National Wildlife Refuge. The contractor must furnish all labor, materials, equipment, transportation, supervision, lifts, sealants, glazing components, disposal, and related incidentals; verify field dimensions; fabricate and install like-for-like replacement units; protect surrounding finishes; remove debris; and leave the work areas clean and weather-tight. The replacement glazing must match the existing system and approved shop-drawing requirements, with no alternate products permitted. The contractor must provide manufacturer documentation verifying glazing specifications, warranty information, installed-material documentation, and participate in a final inspection and acceptance walkthrough. Quotes must include the total project price, estimated completion time, warranty period, and either the identified installation subcontractor with a signed letter of commitment or confirmation that installation will be self-performed. Evaluation will consider technical capability, experience on at least three similar projects, past performance involving three comparable high-impact-glass projects, subcontractor documentation where applicable, and price. The work is to be completed within 180 calendar days of award; the solicitation separately states a performance period of September 24, 2026, through November 23, 2026.
