Description
Jefferson County is soliciting bids for automotive glass replacement and repair for county-owned automobiles, trucks, and equipment. The contractor must furnish new automotive safety glass meeting applicable federal, state, local, OEM, and National Auto Glass Specifications requirements; install it using qualified technicians; remove broken glass and debris; and warrant materials against manufacturer defects for as long as the County owns the vehicle, unless an exception is stated in the bid. Repairs are generally to be completed at the Jefferson County Highway Department, unless the County and vendor agree to use the vendor's location. Standard service orders must be completed within five business days, while emergency replacement service must be provided within 24 hours, including possible nights, weekends, and holidays. Pricing requires labor rates and discounts from NAGS list prices. The contract is a requirements/indefinite-quantity contract with no guaranteed minimum or maximum purchases, covering November 1, 2026, through October 31, 2028, with a mutually agreed one-year renewal option.
