Description

Citrus County is soliciting bids for a complete ribbon-wall window replacement project at the Sheriff's Administration Office. The work includes furnishing and installing 1-inch factory-sealed insulated glass units with bronze-tinted substrates and high-performance Low-E coatings, spandrel panels, and thermally broken aluminum framing matching the existing Kawneer Trifab 601T system and Dark Bronze Anodized finish. Bidders must provide physical glazing samples, product data, and substitution documentation for proposed approved equals. The project is divided into three separately bid areas totaling 220 lites: 48 lites in Area 1, 92 lites in Area 2, and 80 lites in Area 3. The scope includes window-treatment removal and reinstallation, demolition of existing windows and interior finishes, restoration, inspections, water testing, cleanup, waste disposal, and closeout documentation. Work will occur in an occupied law-enforcement facility with access-control, escort, tool-inspection, and security procedures. The prime contractor must demonstrate at least five years of relevant commercial glazing experience, and no more than 50% of the work may be performed by subcontractors. Substantial completion is required within 75 calendar days and final completion within 90 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed for each awarded area. Addendum No. 2 states that the approximate budget is $750,000.
