Description
The Iowa Department of Health and Human Services is conducting a Request for Information to gather industry input on developing a statewide consultation service for child abuse medical assessments. The anticipated model would partner with a Child Protection Center or Child Advocacy Center to recruit and maintain a geographically distributed network of qualified healthcare providers, deliver specialized training, and provide ongoing clinical consultation to providers conducting assessments referred by child protection workers. Respondents are asked to address staffing, infrastructure, technology, operational capacity, provider qualifications, recruitment and retention challenges, training content and delivery, consultation mechanisms and response times, performance measures, operational risks, and potential cost or funding structures. Responses are informational only and will not result in a contract, vendor agreement, purchase, or prequalification for a future procurement.
