Description
The Florida Department of Children and Families is soliciting applications from nonprofit organizations authorized to conduct business in Florida to establish grant-funded services supporting foster, adoptive, and kinship caregivers and families caring for vulnerable children. Eligible activities include community outreach, inquiry, referral, recruitment, education, training, technical assistance, trauma-informed coaching and counseling, mentoring, peer support, volunteer-based wraparound support, retention strategies, and assistance with essential family needs. Applicants must identify a Florida service area and prioritize underserved and rural communities. Grant-funded activities may not include foster-home licensing, home studies, placement decisions, or other functions requiring licensure or authorization under Florida law. Applicants may use approved subcontractors but remain responsible for performance. The anticipated total funding is up to $5,000,000 for State Fiscal Year 2026–2027, with multiple awards possible. The anticipated initial contract term is January 1, 2027, through December 31, 2030, subject to renewal, annual appropriation, and funding availability. Applications must include a narrative application, required certifications and eligibility documentation, a detailed budget and budget narrative, and a completed Attachment 2 – Program Proposal. Applications must be submitted electronically as readable PDF files by email, with a complete application containing an authorized signature; if the application exceeds the 100 MB email-attachment limit, it must be divided into multiple numbered email submissions.
