Description
The City of Piqua is soliciting a contractor for an approximately two-mile, 69kV transmission line terminating at a new 69kV/13.8kV substation. The scope includes furnishing and installing ductile iron poles, fiberglass crossarms, 477 kcmil ACSR phase conductor, overhead ground wire, insulators, grounding, related hardware, removal and retirement of existing poles and conductors, and relocation of an existing capacitor bank. The project also includes a 12.47kV distribution underbuild from Pole P1 through Pole P18, a single-phase tap supporting the Arrowhead subdivision, and 48-fiber ADSS fiber optic cable along the full transmission-line route. Distribution underbuild beyond Pole P18 is excluded. The contractor must provide all labor, materials, equipment, supervision, and incidentals for a complete and operable installation, including traffic control, tree trimming, cleanup, as-built drawings, shop drawings, testing, and coordination with utilities and the owner. The engineer's estimate is $1,900,000. Bidders must submit the provided forms, a 10% bid guaranty or acceptable alternative, and the required qualifications, equipment data, subcontractor information, affidavits, and addenda acknowledgment. A 100% performance-payment bond is required from the successful bidder when applicable.
