Description
Fort Pierce Utilities Authority is establishing a pool of qualified design-build firms to provide integrated engineering, design, construction, and related services for electric utility infrastructure on an as-needed basis. Potential assignments include transmission and distribution systems, substations, system studies, protection and controls, SCADA and communications, surveying, NERC compliance, field inspection, testing, commissioning, emergency work, rehabilitation, upgrades, and new construction. Selected firms may receive project-specific assignments through Specific Authorizations, work orders, amendments, or other written authorizations. Potential projects include reconductoring a transmission line, replacing 69 kV breakers, constructing a new substation, installing a transformer, and building substation equipment and ring-bus improvements. The initial contract term is up to five years, with a possible one-year renewal; selection does not guarantee any project assignments. Qualification submissions must address firm experience, references, personnel, team organization, technical approach, responsiveness, insurance and bonding capacity, and required affidavits and certifications.
