Description
Fayetteville Public Works Commission seeks a contractor for the modernization and expansion of its transmission and subtransmission infrastructure. The project includes replacing 291 existing wood and steel poles with new steel poles and installing 9 new steel transmission poles along a new right-of-way. Replacement work involves 69kV subtransmission lines with 15kV underbuilt distribution circuits and associated attachments, including PWC-owned fiber. New construction includes a 230kV transmission line with poles up to 100 feet high. The project is funded in part through the Grid Resilience and Innovation Partnerships grant program and includes requirements concerning certified Minority Business Enterprise/Women Business Enterprise participation, Davis-Bacon Act wage rates, and applicable American Iron and Steel Act provisions. Bids must use the printed forms or exact copies contained in the contract documents and comply with applicable North Carolina statutory requirements.
