Description
Fayetteville Public Works Commission is soliciting sealed bids for transmission and sub-transmission infrastructure work at Tom Starling Road, Bragg Boulevard, the TESS Substation-to-Dunn Road right-of-way, McArthur Road, and River Road. The project includes replacing 291 existing wood and steel poles with new steel poles, installing nine new steel transmission poles, removing and disposing of existing wood poles and hardware, and returning designated steel poles to inventory. The contractor must provide all labor, equipment, materials, and traffic control. Work includes installation of transmission and distribution hardware; transfer and reconnection of existing 69 kV and 15 kV conductors; transfer of PWC fiber, joint-use communications, streetlights, capacitor banks, and underground dips; installation of a new 230 kV line with three 954 AAC conductors and one 7 No. 6 Alumoweld overhead ground wire; and replacement of existing 954 AAC with 1590 AAC on River Road. The bid is divided into five location-specific lump-sum items, with a 930-calendar-day contract time and a mandatory virtual pre-bid meeting. Contractors must hold the specified North Carolina public utilities contractor license, submit required qualification and compliance forms, and provide bid, performance, and payment security as specified.
