Description
The Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority is soliciting sealed bids for the Park Economy 3 Expansion – EV Charging Lot, RDU Project No. 080799. The construction scope includes installation of a solar photovoltaic system on an existing covered walkway canopy, a battery energy storage system, 100 Level 1 EV chargers, and all electrical infrastructure required for the installations, including coordination with Duke Energy for interconnection. The work also includes civil site work to complete the parking lot section after the electrical work. The project requires a 5% Small Business participation goal, a mandatory Small Business workshop and pre-bid conference, a site visit immediately afterward, a 5% bid bond or equivalent bid security, and 100% performance and labor-and-material payment bonds. The contract requires substantial completion within 120 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed. Bidders must submit the completed Bid Form, bid security, Insurer’s Letter of Commitment, applicable Small Business forms, and a write-up of three similar projects involving bag lift systems completed within the last five years, as well as other documents expressly required by the bid package.
