Description
The Illinois Power Agency (IPA) is soliciting bids for the Fall 2026 Indexed Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) Request for Proposals (RFP). This RFP seeks to procure renewable energy credits from new utility-scale wind, solar, brownfield photovoltaic, and hydropower projects. The procurement is part of the 2026 Long-Term Renewable Resources Procurement Plan approved by the Illinois Commerce Commission. A draft contract and preliminary qualification requirements will be posted on August 18, 2026, with stakeholder feedback requested. Bidders can submit qualification materials starting in September, and bids are due November 30, 2026. Questions can be submitted via the procurement website's Ask a Question page.
