Description
Adams County is soliciting proposals from qualified firms to provide all labor, materials, equipment, engineering, permitting, and related services to replace the existing glazed aluminum curtain wall at the Human Services Center. The work includes facility assessment, delegated design by a qualified professional engineer, material selection, shop drawings and submittals, removal and replacement of curtain wall components and glazing, installation, testing, coordination with County staff, and project closeout. The replacement system is intended to match the existing curtain wall and comply with current energy and building codes, with Kawneer 1600 Wall System 1 identified as the basis of design. The contractor must coordinate site protection, safety, utility locates, permits, inspections, prevailing-wage compliance, certified payrolls, scheduling, and disruption controls. Proposals must address firm qualifications, assigned personnel, project approach, schedule, project management, references, pricing, and the County’s required forms and certifications. The proposal package must be submitted as a single PDF through the designated electronic procurement system, with pricing submitted separately in its own envelope. A mandatory pre-proposal meeting and walk-through is required. The contract is for one year with two optional one-year renewals; performance and payment bonds are required at 100% of contract value at contract execution, and a 5% bid bond is required at submission.
