Description
The City of Yuma is soliciting an on-call, as-needed glass contractor for more than 40 City buildings and structures. Services include repairing and replacing single-pane, insulated, tempered, laminated, and wired glass; emergency make-safe work; installation and removal of solar/reflective and privacy window film; cut-to-size table-top glass, mirrors, shelving, acrylic, and polycarbonate sheets; and maintenance of glazed openings, rollers, tracks, gaskets, setting blocks, glass stops, and seals. Automotive and vehicle glass is excluded. The contractor must provide labor, materials, tools, equipment, supplies, lift equipment, cleanup, and disposal. The contractor must be available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, call back within 30 minutes, and meet specified response times of two hours for emergencies and 24 hours for regular requests. Pricing must include labor rates, lift rates, installed window-film prices, material cost-plus markup, and four project scenarios. The contractor must hold an Arizona Registrar of Contractors C-65 or CR-65 license, have at least three years of relevant experience within the last five years, and maintain required insurance. The contract is renewable for four additional one-year terms after the initial one-year period.
