Description
The City of Indian Wells is soliciting a qualified glazing contractor for a turnkey replacement of 17 windows and four sliding glass doors: seven windows and two doors at Fire Station No. 55, and ten windows and two doors at City Hall. The work includes field measurement, demolition, disposal, fabrication, installation, flashing, waterproofing, glazing, frames, hardware, sealants, trim, patching, testing, cleanup, and restoration of affected finishes. The replacement assemblies must include high-performance double-pane insulated glazing, spectrally selective low-emissivity coating, argon fill, thermally improved or insulated frames, safety glazing where required, and a target SHGC of approximately 0.25. The contractor must provide product data, energy-performance documentation, shop drawings, samples, installation instructions, warranties, code-compliance documentation, and closeout records. The project is subject to prevailing-wage, public-works registration, licensing, insurance, subcontractor, and 30-calendar-day completion requirements. A mandatory pre-bid meeting and site walk are required, and proposals must include the listed forms, bid schedule, project schedule, and bid bond.
