Description
The State of Utah Division of Facilities Construction and Management is soliciting a low-bid construction contractor for Phase I replacement of exterior glazing and window systems at the Davis Technical College Main Building. The base bid includes removal, disposal, and replacement of windows labeled SF1, SF2, CW4, CW19, CW20, and CW21, including flashing, sealing, and repair of adjacent framing, drywall, paint, flooring, ceiling finishes, and carpentry. Add Alternate No. 1 covers replacement of windows labeled CW7 and SF8. The work requires temporary barriers, weatherproofing, site security, coordination among trades, and delegated design and engineering of aluminum-framed systems and attachments. Only contractors prequalified through the Stage I DFCM process and listed as eligible Stage II general contractors may bid. The construction budget is $265,000, with anticipated construction from March 1, 2027, through substantial completion on May 31, 2027. A 5% bid bond is required with the bid, and performance and payment bonds in the amount of 100% of the contract sum are required after award. The successful contractor must also submit a DFCM subcontractors list within 24 hours after bid opening. The mandatory bidder meeting requires attendance by prime contractors wishing to bid.
