Description
The City of Berkeley Fire Department seeks qualified behavioral health providers to support its Peer Support/Peer Counseling Program and the behavioral health and operational resilience of department members. Proposers may offer one, several, or all service areas, and the City may select multiple providers or award only selected areas. The anticipated six-month service period is expected to begin approximately December 1, 2026, with total pricing not exceeding $50,000. Requested services include first-responder behavioral health expertise with up to 145 counseling sessions; 16 hours of clinical consultation for the Peer Support Team; 24/7 clinical consultation and critical-incident support; confidential assessment, brief intervention, and Employee Assistance Program navigation; and program consultation and development. Providers should demonstrate relevant experience with firefighters, emergency medical personnel, public-safety employees, and their families; trauma-informed and culturally responsive practices; qualified licensed master's- or doctorate-level clinicians; after-hours availability where applicable; and the ability to provide non-identifying aggregate program reporting. Proposals must identify the proposed service areas, approach, clinician qualifications and licensure, relevant experience, availability, staffing model, pricing, and at least three comparable references or examples of work.
