Description
The California Department of Social Services is soliciting daily courier services between its Disability Determination Service Division Oakland Branch and the United States Postal Service. The contractor must provide labor, equipment, materials, covered and secured vehicles, postal transactions, postal supplies, and a dolly or hand truck as needed. Services are required Monday through Friday, excluding specified state and federal holidays, with multiple daily pickups and deliveries involving three post-office boxes. Approximate daily volume is 400 pounds of incoming mail and 500 pounds of outgoing mail. The bid requires completion of the attached qualification, certification, rate, reference, and compliance forms, along with supporting business, vehicle, permit, and registration documentation. The all-inclusive bid is priced per month. The agreement is anticipated to run for up to 24 months, with a possible extension of up to 12 additional months. The DVBE participation requirement is waived, although a DVBE incentive is available.
