Description
The North Carolina State Highway Patrol is soliciting a contractor to build a new VIPER communications site at 300 Veasey Road in Butner and decommission the existing tower site in Granville County. The new work includes furnishing and installing a 380-foot self-support tower, tower foundation, equipment shelter, generator, grounding and lightning-protection systems, electrical infrastructure, fencing, gates, gravel access road, and related civil improvements. The contractor must coordinate inspections, permits, utility work, tower staking, and construction activities, and must provide required construction documentation and photographs. The contractor must also remove fencing, the existing tower and tower-mounted equipment, the old building, and related debris after the replacement site is operational, and transport the existing generator to State Surplus. Work is required to be completed within 90 calendar days after contract award, excluding inclement-weather days. A mandatory site visit is required, and bids must include the completed execution pages, vendor response, pricing form, customer references, worker-location form, financial-condition certification, federal lobbying certification, and any required addenda acknowledgments.
