Description
Bryan Texas Utilities is soliciting construction services for the Rayburn-East 69kV Reroute Project, including BTU and Entergy Texas sections. The contractor must provide supervision, labor, tools, equipment, contractor-furnished materials, traffic control, access improvements, mobilization, laydown-yard services, permits, and related construction support. Work includes drilled-pier and direct-embed foundations; erection of concrete and tubular steel transmission poles; installation of insulators, transmission conductors, shield wire, and OPGW; conductor and structure removals; wire transfers and re-sagging; distribution-wire reconfiguration; grounding; easement clearing; and site restoration. Owner-furnished materials include transmission poles, insulators, conductors, shield wire, OPGW, and certain hardware. The project requires a 20% contingency and includes a $15,000 testing allowance. Bidders must submit unit pricing, a preliminary construction schedule, equipment and material information, an organization chart, personnel resumes, a bidder qualification form, at least three similar-project references, a list of subcontractors, addenda acknowledgments, deviations, and the required bid forms and supporting documentation. A bid bond or qualifying cashier's/certified check of at least 5% of the total base bid is required; payment and performance bonds are required after award when applicable based on contract value. The work is scheduled for completion by May 14, 2027, with energization targeted for April 26, 2027.
