Description
The City of Durham is soliciting unit-price bids for Contract ST-345, Pavement Preservation 2027. The work includes furnishing labor, materials, equipment, and tools for asphalt preservation on various streets throughout Durham. Major work items include microsurfacing, asphalt treatments, crack sealing, fiber additives, asphalt rejuvenation, asphalt patching, shoulder rehabilitation, curb and gutter replacement, utility valve and manhole adjustments, traffic control, mobilization, and sweeping. The project also includes inductive-loop sawcutting, variable message boards, and extensive thermoplastic pavement markings, including lane lines, yield lines, arrows, bicycle symbols, speed-hump markings, and green markings. Bidders must be licensed under Chapter 87 of the North Carolina General Statutes, demonstrate the ability to perform a majority of the work with their own equipment and personnel, and submit the required bid form, non-collusion affidavit, bid security, equipment and personnel information, and bidder safety record review form. The work must be substantially completed within 180 calendar days after the Notice to Proceed for construction and completed for final payment within 210 calendar days.
